Kenly, N.C. — A power box exploded, burning one person and starting a fire in Kenly early Saturday, Johnston County dispatch officials said.
The power box exploded at 621 Johnston Parkway, close to Interstate 95, shortly before 7 a.m. The explosion started a fire, but crews quickly put it out.
One person was injured and transported to the Jaycees Burn Center at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
