Greenville, N.C. — Officers responding to calls about shots fired on Roundtree Drive Saturday night found a man who had been shot in the neck.
Witnesses told police that an unidentified person shot once at Terrance Earl Thomas in the 500 block of Roundtree Drive around 9:30 p.m.
The alleged shooter fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle, witnesses said. The vehicle was last seen traveling west on West Fifth Street.
Thomas was transported to Pitt Memorial Hospital. Police said he was listed in critical but stable condition on Sunday morning.
Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 252-758-7777. Callers to Crime Stoppers never have to identify themselves.
