Pembroke, N.C. — Police are searching for a man accused of abducting a 3-month-old Robeson County boy during a carjacking.
An Amber Alert was issued for Zaccheus Clark at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday. He was taken from the parking lot of a Kangaroo Citgo gas station on West Third Street in Pembroke, police said.
The boy was inside a gold-colored 2005 Suzuki Forenza when a man ordered the adult out of the vehicle. He then took off in the vehicle with the infant still inside, police said.
The boy was found, unharmed inside the vehicle, about an hour later.
Police said they believe Alex Locklear stole the vehicle. He is described as a 31-year-old Native American, 6 feet 1 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds.
Locklear was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.
If you have any information regarding Locklear's whereabouts, call the Pembroke Police Department immediately at 910-521-4333, or call 911 or *HP.
