Chapel Hill, N.C. — The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has established a memorial fund in the name of its slain student body president, Eva Marie Carson.
The Eve Marie Carson Memorial Fund is "to celebrate and remember Carson's love for the university and its students," according to a statement posted on the university Web site.
Donations can be made online at giving.unc.edu/gift by choosing a giving option and selecting the fund under University Fund. Checks made payable to UNC-Chapel Hill with "Eve Marie Carson Memorial Fund" in the memo line can be mailed to:

The specific use of contributions will be determined in consultation with Carson's family, the Web site said.
