Raleigh born and bred; a rarity in these parts. Though it might surprise some, I've left Wake County on occassion.
My beautiful bride and I have been together for 23 years, 17 of those years as a married couple. We are very lucky to have 3 healthy, bright (comes from their mother!) and beautiful children.
Being a father has been the greatest experience of my life; and the most trying too! I can't remember what life was like before.
Politically, I'm an Independent. Though, on some matters I tend to lean right of center, especially when it comes to Defense. Can't help it. Just about every male in the family tree, cousins included, has served in the Armed Forces. Also, Josiah Bartlett, the member of the 2nd Continental Congress from New Hampshire, was a relative on my mother's side of the family. Curiously enough, Jimmy Carter is a distant cousin on my father's side. Therefore, I hold sacred the priviledge of being an American; so let's not hose it up!
I'm a frustrated fighter pilot. I got selected for US Navy AOCS, but my left eye rated 20/25. The good part of that, is that I've been around to see my kids born and to be there for them. Looking back on it, I'm glad it happend that way.

favorite music: classic rock, jazz, blues, classical, etc.
favorite movies: saving private ryan, animal house, a bridge too far, star wars (the original), double indemnity, me, myself & irene, raising arizona
favorite hobbies: don't have time; i have 3 kids.
favorite tv shows: anything on the history channel or military channel, iron chef america, international soccer (us national team, esp.)
favorite restaurants: any good italian.
favorite vacation spots: anywhere away from traffic!
