Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment.
This is a place where cachers can come to discuss interesting caches in the Triangle and also a place where those interested in caching can come and talk to people who enjoy this wonderful hobby. For those of you who don't know what geocaching is, we use GPS units to locate hidden containers around the world. Think of it like a world wide scavenger hunt without a list. Bringing a GPS into it brings a new dimension. Hadn't gotten into geocaching, due to time, but am quite interested in learning more. Do tell!
