I have taken quite a few online classes myself.

It can be quite a bit of work too. Even the teachers say there is more to online classes than regular ones. But you pretty much work on your own schedule.

As far as I know U of Phoenix is expense and you can't get grants for those types of schools. Does anyone know if that is true?

I do know that I have gone to 2 different community colleges taking online courses and at one I spent a lot of time at the school and that was a pain.

Any experience with online degree programs? Between two jobs and family obligations, there's no way that classroom environment is going to work.

I tried U. of Phoenix a few years back. Their "independent study" classes required conference calls and group projects. That's a fresh definition of the concept of "independent".

PLease check out the HELPFUL links above. You may qualify for a grant or scholarships. Also check out the blog grants and contracts. If you go to a community college for whatever courses you can (college transfer, but you still need to pick a Major) till you need to transfer, that would help on the costs too.

Hey all! Thought I would check in. I actually have changed my major due to the work conflicts and my supervisor all of the sudden not happy to work with me. I did not want to give up on pursuing my education, so I switched to Medical Office Administration, which is building on my current skills anyway. It is only an associate's degree program, so because I have an associate's degree already, I am going to look into the Options for Adult Learners through ECU distance education since it offers a major for a BS health services management. I will keep you informed of the process as I check into it. I have to admit I am concerned about the cost, even though I am sure it would be an investment that would pay off. I am currently taking 3 online classes and 1 traditional and doing very well.

Hey Sky Pilot.

I am NOT taking classes this semester, don't know if will next semester or not.

How is it going for you?

soooooooo wazzup!!!! how's class going for everyone????

Class starts Monday!

I finally managed to sign up for a fall class..I'm only going to take one because I am involved in a grant that requires me to take a number of workshops that will tie up many of my nights and Saturdays between now and March

But,,,I picked my class by going through the catalog and putting in numbers into the STAR system...it would tell me "class is full" so I moved onto the next one that I had yet to take until I found one that was not full...lol

Only took me 5 tries

So I'm taking Children With Exceptionalities,,,should be interesting

AWWRIGHT!! Thanks Bubs! :)
