A letter to Honey.

Honey, this coming Aug. 19th, it will be one year since you broke my heart. As I sit here typing this, I'm crying. I would give anything to have you back here with me. You brought me so much happiness. You slept with me every single night. As the years went by, you slept in, longer and longer, each day. Eventually, you'd sleep most of the day. I miss your taps. I miss your whining. I miss you waiting outside the shower, for me to get out. I miss seeing your leg prints on the bath mat, where you'd lay, while I took a shower.  I would always know by those marks, you had been there.

Sometimes, when I look in the backyard, I actually find myself trying to wish you there.  I would love to see you standing there, waiting for me.  You were such a gentle soul and you had the sweetest face.   Thank you for all the love you gave me.  I miss you so much!

Do you have any idea how much I miss you? It's hard to type this through my tears, but this letter is for you and I want you to know I'll always love you. I even had postage stamps made with one of your pictures on it.  Did you know that I write you notes with chalk, on the sidewalk, beside where you are?  You wouldn't understand, but it's very therapeutic for me. 

Thank you for coming into my life. If only it had been longer. My heart is broken and I can't stop the pain. I love you. I love you. I love you!

HEAVEN'S DOGGY-DOOR

My best friend closed her eyes last night,
  As her head was in my hand.
The Doctors said she was in pain,
  And it was hard for her to stand.

The thoughts that scurried through my head,
  As I cradled her in my arms.
Were of her younger, puppy years,
  And OH...her many charms.

Today, there was no gentle nudge
  With an intense "I love you gaze",
Only a heart thats filled with tears
  Remembering our joy filled days.

But an Angel just appeared to me,

About me: Well, I like good food: Fried chicken, (love the skin), baked chicken, steak, french fries, pasta, corn on the cob, Doritos smothered with melted extra sharp cheddar cheese and jalapeno peppers on top, fried okra, bubba burgers, pork chops, fried green tomatoes, shrimp scampi, shrimp panned in butter. I love bacon, sausage, grits, eggs. I like chocolate pie, chocolate cake, chocolate donuts, Red Velvet cake, strawberry ice cream with hot fudge on top. Basically, I like anything considered bad for you.

I HATE slow drivers! Yes, hate is a strong word, and I don't care! I HATE, DETEST, slow drivers!!!

I love spiral stairs. You could say, I am in love with spiral stairs!! So, I'm in love with a thing!  That is weird!

I have no children and I don't want any. I am happily child-free. :-) Quite frankly, I don't like kids. I live in an "adult-adult" world, meaning, I am around kids as little as humanly possible! Yes, I am well aware that I was a kid once.  I have also been unemployed, but that doesn't mean I should like all unemployed people!!

Manners and pet-peeves: I don't like to be around people who have no manners! Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze, please! Never blow your nose in a restaurant dining room - go to the bathroom! Send Thank You notes when appropriate. Drive the speed limit, not 20 miles UNDER! Give turn signals.

I think that "Please" and "Thank You" have gone by the wayside. There is a place and time to be rude, and as the famous line in Roadhouse went, "Be nice. Be nice, until it's time to not be nice." I do have "rude moods." I think a healthy balance is the best thing.I also hate blanket statements!! There really is no such thing!

I am a firm believer in Vigilante justice. If I turn on the TV and hear on the news that an old person was robbed, or beat up and an individual "on the scene" happened to shoot and kill the jerk, good! If I turn on the TV and hear on the news that a parent just shot and killed the known molester of his/her children, good! If I turn on the TV and hear on the news that someone was in the process of getting car jacked and a by-stander saw it and put a cap in the thugs head, good! Of course this isn't legal. But that doesn't make it wrong! Extreme actions require extreme measures. Too bad vigilante justice is reserved for movies like Death Wish, which I happen to just LOVE!

Pets vs. people. Pets are much more loyal, reliable, loveable, understanding, kind, non-judgmental, love unconditionally, and accept you for you, more than people do! Pets are a gift from God. Thank you, God.

I think people who are rude, hateful, spiteful, jealous, manipulative, controlling, or just plain toxic, are a blessing! It's good to encounter these toxic people. Why? Because it teaches us how we don’t want to be!

I am against Eminent Domain for ANY REASON! Why? Any individual who owns a piece of land, should NOT have it "taken" by the government for ANY reason, UNLESS they want to sell it! I don't care if it's to build a hospital or fire station!! NOBDOY should have their land "taken," nobody!

Want to see someone's true character? Watch how they treat a server or waiter. It costs nothing to be nice.
