debra morgan's blog: three months later
by Debra MorganPublished Oct. 9, 2008
We are checking in on our three Bad Dog! finalists to see how they're faring three months later. The good news is all the dogs made improvements! Wait until you see how Albie (the one we called the constant barker) answers the door now. You be the judge if Mugsy (the leash-puller) can walk through the neighborhood without greeting every dog with a lunge and a strange howl. And Riley (the over-protective one) has a new way of greeting visitors who come close to his owner. Jenny Marconyak with Bark Busters kept in touch with all the owners and their dogs since our stories aired in July. The dogs took to some of the training techniques immediately. Other times, the owners had to try several different methods before seeing results. A big key to success: consistency. The owners who trained every day had the best outcome.
See how the dogs turned out for yourself tonight on WRAL's 5:30 News! We'll be announcing another round of the Bad Dog! Challenge soon.
