RALEIGH – Dr. Maya Angelou will appear in Greensboro today to introduce Michelle Obama, wife of Democratic presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama. The North Carolina Women for Obama rally will start at 3 p.m. today.
Angelou, who supported Hillary Clinton in the primary, is a resident of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Angelou now supports Barack Obama in his pursuit of the presidency. Angelou is a former Poet Laureate and is the well-known author of books such as I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings and Heart of a Woman. She has appeared in the films, How to Make an American Quilt and Poetic Justice.

I've stated this before and I'll state it again; Barack Obama is not a Muslim. I really don't believe he's a Christian either. I think he's an atheist like his mother. You should like that.

The remark Michelle Obama made wasn't intended as a compliment. The remark was made to reduce Gov. Palin to "just another pretty face". You didn't find that demeaning?
I've never made that comment about Gov. Palin myself. And as far as who I'm supporting...I'm supporting the best qualified and most experienced candidate running for president. That's John McCain.
