statement from the mccain-palin campaign
by Golo Managing EditorPublished Sep. 17, 2008
This one just landed in my inbox:
ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, McCain-Palin 2008 Campaign Manager Rick Davis issued the following statement concerning reports about Governor Palin's email and an invasion of privacy:
"This is a shocking invasion of the Governor's privacy and a violation of law. The matter has been turned over to the appropriate authorities and we hope that anyone in possession of these emails will destroy them. We will have no further comment."

(gives more "technical" detail [as in screenshots of inbox, photos, etc.])
I don't think anyone has mentioned that this demonstrated that was "conducting state business using her personal, unarchived email address (gov.sarah@yahoo.com) instead of her official account (which is, of course, subject to laws requiring the retention of government records)."
Hmmm ... conducting goverment business on a personal account instead of the goverment account in order to prevent retention of records ... does this sound familar to anyone??
Yep ... More of the same ... No change ...

which i assume since you are always so, umm, objective, you would agree is a good thing...right? surely that line wasnt just being used as a pejorative remark designed to show how bush has "torn up the constitution"....was it?

You know they probably will never catch the people responsible, but you can believe the bush administration will be doing everything they can to catch them.

gov.palin@yahoo.com
It reads to me like it was a government address. If she wanted it to be personal she should have thought about not using governor in the addy. The hackers are going through the account and will release anything that is worthy. Look for an October surprise. lol

"Hacker's broke into the Yahoo! e-mail account that...Palin used for official business as Alaska's governor."
Huh? Surely the cost-cutting measures wouldn't have gone so far as to use Yahoo! for government business, would they?
