conservative icon jesse helms dead at 86

Published Jul. 4, 2008

Jesse Helms, who died at 1:15 a.m. Friday in Raleigh, will lie in repose Monday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Hayes-Barton Baptist Church. His funeral will be 2 p.m. on Tuesday also at the church. A private burial will follow.

Helms was fine man, and all of the pukes who are degrading him should be ashamed. He, and a good many others, thought life was much better when each race took care of their own. When Black kids had black teachers, and white kids had white teachers, nobody could whine about a teacher being racist. Much simpler. If you went to church with a teacher, you probably weren't going to let your folks hear you had been acting up. Helms also seemd to think if you were a business owner, you could serve, sell or rent to whom you chose, not who the government told you you had to. Hiring should work the same way, not be mandated by Big Brother.
