4th of july must-haves

What are some of your must-haves on the 4th of July? It can be a certain type of food, fireworks at a specific venue, etc. … whatever puts you in the holiday mood.
For me, it’s flag cake. My mom made it when I was younger. She doesn’t live in North Carolina, so I guess I’ll have to make it myself this year. Luckily, it’s a pretty easy recipe: white or yellow cake (from a mix or from scratch), strawberries, blueberries and whipped topping.
What do you have planned for the 4th of July? Any special traditions? Favorite recipes? Favorite fireworks show?
