raleigh immigration rally - june 18th
Published Jun. 17, 2008JUST AN FYI:
Raleigh Immigration Event on June 18th
Immigration Reformers and Concerned Citizens,
Join Immigration Reform and Enforcement Groups for a Historic Rally in Raleigh on June 18 at the NC General Assembly.
Concerned citizens who want the NC Legislature to take action against illegal immigration will gather for a rally in Raleigh on June 18th. The rally and event will be from 11am-1pm on the Bicentennial Mall, which is across Jones St. from the main entrance of the NC Legislature (see links below).
Supporters are also encouraged to also join us on the 1st floor inside the legislative building (walk in the main front door and take the first left to the open Quad) from 8am-5pm to distribute materials and lobby NC lawmakers to oppose HB 2717, which would not allow NC community colleges and state-supported universities to adopt any admission's requirement related to one's immigration status. Hence illegals would get a free pass, and each illegal immigrant allowed into NC State supported colleges and universities would displace and disenfranchise American students, as there are more qualified students than there are spaces for them.
A few in the NC General Assembly are trying to undo a recent ruling by our NC Attorney General. And some legislators are trying to reduce the amount of money for supporting the 287(g) Program to use local law enforcement to assist in immigration enforcement. WE will promote other legislation as well to deny privileges to illegal aliens and require companies doing business with the state to be required to use the E-Verify system to make sure workers are legally present in the USA. Also our state should stop providing over $500,000 each year to El Pueblo, who is involved as a lobbying org for illegal immigrants. They use our tax dollars to lobby for illegal immigrants.
These events will be at the N.C. General Assembly at 16 West Jones St., Raleigh, as described above. Click below on links for maps on directions, and buildings and public parking lots. Note there are also spaces on the streets to park.

Calling and illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensed pharmacist".
If I could, I would be there for this rally. And yes Wizard, the problems in Wayne County are getting bad.

I am sick and tired of working to support those who drain our system dry......this goes for the illegals, and for those who are too dayum lazy to work for a living and who would rather crank out babies for us to also support!!!

if they cant get rid of the illegals, they should get rid of income tax and just flat tax EVERYTHING that way everyone, even the illegals, contribute their fair share.
it'll be interesting to see how many folks show up for this rally tomorrow and what kind of news coverage it gets.
