Senseless, Graphic Violence and non-talent song!
Just thought I'd put this film up for review here since the GOLO movie review is so sparsely populated.
My wife and 16 year-old son brought this DVD home for our Friday-night movie. They had not bothered to research the film and rented it soley based on the fact that it starred Johnny Depp, and had a cool-looking cover! I don't think they even noticed the rating of "R", for Graphic, Bloody, Violence.
My opinion only... the film is a Musical (Johnny Depp as a Song Talent ???). Actually, all of the characters sing their lines, and most of it is quite unbearable.
The story line itself is appreciable, but the Tim Burton the quality and quantity of graphic and bloody violence is way too much for the average audience !
Warning, if you just have to see this film, do not let your kids view it without your prior screening.
All-in-all, I considered the film a vast waste of resources. I'm sure there are some who may disagree.
