movie review: live free or die hard
Published Jul 9, 2007OK, I am almost ashamed to say it... I enjoyed the latest installment of Live Free or Die Hard.
That wasn't so hard was it? I enjoyed the movie!
Granted it wasn't the most realistic movie ever made, but if realism was a prerequisite for enjoying a movie, we'd all avoid the theaters, right?
The first two Die Hard flicks revolved around terrorists in a L.A. high-rise, the third at a D.C. airport, this one involves the internet and terrorizing our entire country.
I am not going to be one of those reviewers that ruins the movie by transcribing the entire plot... but there's not much in this film that is believable, except for the "Hi, I am a Mac" guy (Justin Long) playing a computer hacker.
Bruce Willis does a great job in this film, playing an aging, weather-beaten old guy... hey wait a minute, he IS all of that! Oh well, he still does a great job beating up bad guys (and girls) in this movie.
The action, and special effects are enough to keep you interested nearly every second, even if some of the story might be lacking.
Without ruining anything, the one scene in the film that I could have lived without, involved a fighter jet and an 18-wheeler. If they had left this out, I would have been a lot happier. You'll know what I mean if you saw the film.
Bottom line is this; if you are looking to be entertained and kept on the edge of your seat — I highly recommend Live Free or Die Hard.
I'd love to hear what you thought of this film!
How would you rate it?

Now, I just hope they stop... quit while they reclaimed some dignity they lost due to numbers two and three!
