I woke up bright and early at 3:00 this morning -- getting ready to be here at 4:30 for our special early edition of WRAL News. I added some extra calories to my breakfast, getting ready for the worst.
But this turned out to be one of the quieter non-holiday weekdays we've seen in the traffic department. Hopefully, black ice won't ruin the Friday morning commute, but you do need to be careful in the morning.
Let's think about summer. I'm not talking 95 degrees and sunshine; I'm talking about hail! BIG hail! Take a look at this collection of wild hailstones and the damage they caused.
