The election may have taken center stage but a few celebs made headlines. And when I say a few I mean, Oprah!

5. Kendra Wilkinson, one of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends, has found herself a new man. The co-star of the E! Entertainment program “The Girls Next Door” got engaged this week to Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett, according to the AP. Hefner said he will be giving Wilkinson away during a special wedding ceremony at the Playboy Mansion in June.

Fellow “Girl Next Door” Holly Madison and Hefner broke up last month. Madison is currently dating Las Vegas magician Criss Angel. No word on the last “Girl Next Door” Bridget Marquardt.

Twin 19-year-olds Karissa and Kristina Shannon recently moved into the mansion.

5. It’s Halloween and I took the time to list my top 10 scariest celebrities. (And, yes, Michael Jackson made the list!)

4. Ashley Judd was in Raleigh Thursday. Being huge fans of her movies (“Double Jeopardy,” “High Crimes”) Web Editor Kelly Hinchcliffe and I went to get a photo with her. While she was on the N.C. State campus to speak about Obama, we got her to at least tell us about her next project.

Ashley Judd talks new movie

Ashley Judd may have planned to speak about her presidential choice – Democrat Barack Obama – on Thursday at North Carolina State University but the RaleighWood blog got her talk about her upcoming project.

Judd told RaleighWood that she just wrapped up filming the “Tooth Fairy” with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

After speaking, Judd stayed to talk photos and sign autographs for members of the crowd.

Judd is best known for her roles in the films “Double Jeopardy,” “De-Lovely” and “Someone Like You.”
