Ben Folds puts song from Cary show online

If you made it out to the Ben Folds concert at Koka Booth in May you may remember a group of people (one gentleman in particular) who was insistent on yelling out requests in between songs, requests that were incomprehensible either due to his volume, or perhaps his lack of sobriety  at the event. After one such outbust Ben played a song he created for the man poking fun at his outbursts.

Valerie over at Triangle Music noticed that the song now titled "Baby Rabbits" has been uploaded to Ben's MySpace page. If you were at that show in Cary its worth another listen, and another laugh.

Avett Brothers sign deal with American/Columbia Records

North Carolina based The Avett Brothers signed an agreement with American/Columbia records this week, with whom they will release their next record. The Avett Brothers are leaving behind Ramseur Records who have worked with the Brothers on their previous albums. In a letter to fans they said "It is our sincere hope, in regard to this news, that our ongoing relationship with Ramseur Records is understood. There have been, and will be no hard feelings or abandon-based resentment from either party involved. The Avett and Ramseur camps remain strongly and truthfully connected, both personally and professionally. There has been no change in these matters through this momentous transition."

The Avett Brothers are playing at the Koka Booth Amphitheatre later this month on July 26th.
