ATLANTA — AppForge, a developer of mobile content application software, has been acquired by Oracle, Privately Equity Week Wire reported on Wednesday.
In mid-March, AppForge shut down operations, according to some media reports.
Visitors to the AppForge Web site are directed to an Oracle site.
AppForge raised some $24 million in venture capital since 2001. Backers included C&B Capital, New Atlantic Ventures, Sinclair Ventures and Grosvenor Funds, according to PE Week Wire.
