Research Triangle Park, N.C. — SciQuest, a provider of e-procurement services through a software as a service model, is expanding its efforts in the educational market by becoming an affiliate of the Kuali Foundation.
Kuali is a not-for-profit group that works with colleges and universities seeking enterprise software applications. It represents more than 30 institutions around the world.
Offerings from Kuali include accounts receivable, budget construction and other tools.
SciQuest will work with Kuali to incorporate its e-procurement solutions into the Kuali financial management system. Kuali is based at Indiana University.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
“SciQuest is a welcome addition to our Commercial Affiliates in the Kuali Community,” said Kathleen McNeely, chair of the Functional Council for the Kuali Financial System. “They bring specialized knowledge in eprocurement solutions for higher education and we have found them to be an excellent partner to many of the Kuali Community members. We are excited about working with them to provide added value to the Kuali Financial System and to work with the Kuali Community in ensuring successful implementations.”
