Raleigh, N.C. — Misys Healthcare has landed a $2 million contract to provide laboratory information services to Providence Health Care, which is based in Vancouver, Canada.
The system enables quick access to patient healthcare information.
Providence supports more than 372,000 patients per year at seven facilities.
“This initiative will create operational and clinical efficiencies, and will provide a significant step towards service integration between Providence Health Care, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Provincial Health Services Authority laboratories,” said Jane Crosby, laboratory service director at Providence Health Care.
Misys Healthcare offers a “SMART” module that includes specimen management, routing and tracking as well as a module for blood tracking and integrated pathology reporting.
In the first quarter of this year, Misys Healthcare landed more than 60 contracts.
