Raleigh, N.C. — Provena Health, a Midwest-based physician health system, has signed on to use electronic medical records technology from Misys Healthcare Systems.
Provena includes 1,800 physicians in Illinois and Indiana.
The system will also use Misys products for its home health nurses network.
“Having more than 20 years experience using Misys clinical tools, I am confident that Misys EMR will provide the platform that our physicians need to improve clinical and practice workflows for optimal patient care,” said Lon McPherson, chief medical officer at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. “Provena and Alliance Health selected Misys EMR for its comprehensive functionality and seamless integration with practice management and billing solutions in a user-friendly format. Additionally, several of our affiliated physicians already use Misys within their own practices and have experienced the benefits first-hand.”
