Durham, N.C. — Venture-backed HyperBranch Medical Technology has received approval to sell its liquid ocular bandages in the European Union.
The approval enables HyperBranch to formally launch its first product.
Investors in HyperBranch include Aurora Funds and HIG Ventures.
HyperBranch’s OcuSeal product is a liquid that provides protection for the eye following surgical or non-surgical conditions. It is bio-degradable.
The company is also developing what it calls “surgical sealants” for brain, lung and hernia procedures.
