Woman with wrong-size windows gets refund

Raleigh, N.C. — Leslie Pinckney was promised a refund for a botched window replacement job, and she finally got it.

Pinckney hired Alexander Joyner of AJOY Design and Construction to replace 12 windows in her home.

He ordered the wrong size windows twice. The second time he actually installed the incorrect windows.

At first, Joyner would not refund Pinckney's money.

But after WRAL's 5 on Your Side story aired, he sent her a check for more than $8,000.

Pinckney is in the process of fixing the botched job.
